Noneley lies along the A53 between Shrewsbury and Market Drayton in north Shropshire's farming country. The A49 provides the main north-south route through the county, whilst the A528 connects eastward to the M54. Most journeys are local affairs between market towns, though RAF Shawbury nearby brings some through traffic. The Tuesday morning cattle market in the town square remains a proper working auction, complete with farmers' Land Rovers and livestock lorries.
