Nis lies at the northern end of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, reached via the A857 from Stornoway (25km). Part of the close-knit Ness communities near the Butt of Lewis lighthouse, it's a working crofting area with about 3 EV charging points available. The Ness Historical Society operates from a converted Victorian schoolhouse displaying authentic fishing and farming artifacts.
