Newtown lies in Devon's countryside between South Molton and Bishops Nympton, reached via the A361 then minor roads northwest. Most visitors approach from the M5 at Junction 27, following the A361 through rolling farmland. The area has around 16 fast EV charging points nearby. Ancient drove roads that once carried livestock from Exmoor still cross the surrounding fields as footpaths.
