New Kelso is a small Highland village on Loch Carron's shore, reached via the A896 from Strathcarron station. The scenic coastal road connects it to Lochcarron and serves tourists heading for Skye or the North Coast 500. About four EV charging points serve this remote area. The settlement was named after the Borders town by families relocated here during the Highland clearances.
