Ness perches at the northern tip of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, reached via the A857 from Stornoway - a scenic 25km drive through crofting country. This fishing village sits dramatically close to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse, built in 1862 and standing 37 metres tall on the Atlantic cliffs.
