Murroes is a small Angus village north of Dundee, reached via the A92 and local roads in about 15 minutes from the city. The A90 provides connections to Perth and Aberdeen for longer journeys, whilst Dundee Airport sits 8 kilometers south. The village features a rare 16th-century parish church with an octagonal bell tower.
