Muckworthy is a small Devon village reached via the A386 from Tavistock or through Okehampton on the A30. Most visitors drive from Plymouth (45km) or Barnstaple (35km) along country lanes that wind through typical west Devon farmland. The 13th-century church of St. Andrew houses an exceptional medieval rood screen with original painted saint panels.
