Mountsett is a small County Durham village between Newcastle and Consett, accessed via the A692 from Gateshead or the A693 from Stanley. The A1 provides the main motorway link for longer journeys. With over 250 EV charging points regionally and Newcastle Airport 25km away, it's well-connected for modern travel. The former colliery site, closed in the 1960s, now houses residential estates marking the area's shift from coal mining to commuter village.
