Mount Merrion is an upmarket residential area in south Dublin, sitting between the Dublin Mountains and Dublin Bay with lovely views toward the surrounding hills. From the city center, take the N11 south through Donnybrook, then the R118 to Mount Merrion Avenue. Dublin Airport is about 20km away via the M50 to Junction 13, then the N11. The area developed as a planned suburb in the mid-20th century on former estate lands, featuring tree-lined avenues with detached houses and apartments. The Saturday morning farmers' market at Mount Merrion Community Centre on Foster Avenue is a local highlight.
