Mosshead lies in rural Aberdeenshire, 2km from Oldmeldrum and 25km northeast of Aberdeen via the A947. This small city sits amongst rolling farmland typical of the Formartine area. The A947 provides the main route north to the Moray coast, whilst local roads connect surrounding villages like Bethelnie and Whitefield.
