Mortimer lies along the A33 between Reading and Basingstoke, easily reached via the M4 (junction 11 or 12) then south through typical Berkshire countryside. The village serves as a commuter hub with direct rail links to London, whilst over 200 EV charging points operate nearby. The Victorian signal box at Mortimer station remains one of the last working examples on the Reading-Basingstoke line.
