Mooncoin

Mooncoin sits right on the River Suir where Kilkenny meets Waterford, with the R448 running north to Thomastown and the M9. It's about 20 kilometers west of Waterford city via the R680, making it handy for cross-county commutes. The ruins of medieval Mooncoin Castle overlook the old stone bridge crossing, where locals still fish for salmon and trout in the same spots the monks used centuries ago. There's decent EV charging around Waterford and along the main routes if you're driving electric.
