Mockerkin

England

England

Mockerkin is a small farming village in western Cumbria, positioned between the Lake District fells and the coastal plain. Reach it via the A5086 from Cockermouth, then minor roads through agricultural land, or from the A66 via Cockermouth and Lamplugh. The village connects to Loweswater (6km) and other local settlements through narrow country lanes. Its distinctive red sandstone buildings, quarried locally centuries ago, give Mockerkin a characteristic warm appearance against the green countryside.
