Mochrum is a small Galloway village positioned between rolling farmland and the Solway coast. Reach it via country lanes from Newton Stewart (15km northeast) or the A714, with the main A75 about 20km north. Local drives include Port William (3km south) and various coastal points around the Machars peninsula. The village sits near the evocative ruins of Mochrum Old Kirk, a medieval church now romantically crumbling among ancient gravestones.
