Millport occupies the Isle of Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde, reached by a brief ferry crossing from Largs on the A78. Glasgow drivers reach it in about an hour, whilst it's a popular cycling destination thanks to the island's 10-mile coastal circuit. The town boasts Britain's smallest cathedral, seating just 100 worshippers.
