Mill Dam

Mill Dam is a residential district within South Shields, positioned on the Tyne's south bank near the river mouth. The A194 provides the main north-south route, connecting to the A19 for wider regional travel, whilst the A183 runs east-west along the coast. Newcastle Airport lies 25km northwest via the A19. The area retains traces of its industrial heritage, with remnants of the original mill dam still visible in the town centre.
