Melbost lies on Lewis's eastern coast, five kilometres from Stornoway via the A866. This small Hebridean community overlooks the Minch and sits near the entrance to Stornoway's excellent natural harbour. Visitors arrive by ferry from Ullapool or through Stornoway Airport, with approximately eight EV charging points available locally. The village enjoys a relatively sheltered position compared to Lewis's windswept Atlantic shores.
