Mayford is a Surrey village between Guildford and Woking, reached via the A322 from the M25/A3 or local roads from either town center. The area sits on heathland with good views across the countryside, popular with commuters to both London and local business parks. It's famously located next to Horsell Common, the fictional Martian landing site in H.G. Wells's War of the Worlds.
