Marshaw is a remote Lancashire village in the Forest of Bowland, reached via winding country lanes from Lancaster (A683 then minor roads through Quernmore) or from the M6 Junction 33 via Scorton. The church of St. Paul, built from local Abbeystead sandstone, changes from honey to gold as the light shifts across the Pennine foothills.
