Maraig perches on Harris's Atlantic edge, reached via the A859 to Tarbert then 14km of single-track roads. The village connects locally to Rhenigidale and other western settlements, with about 4 EV charging points in the wider area. The road terminates at a small car park beside the ruins of an ancient chapel, its weathered stone walls still defying the Atlantic storms.
