Mainsforth is a small County Durham village between Ferryhill and Bishop Auckland, reached via the A688 from either direction. The A688 connects west to the A1(M) for longer journeys, whilst the B6291 provides local access to Ferryhill. Around 150 fast EV chargers serve the area from nearby towns. The village preserves its mining past with the old Pithead Baths building and original ironwork still standing near Elemore Auto Parts.
