Madingley lies six kilometres west of Cambridge along the A1303, accessible via Junction 13 of the M11. This small Cambridgeshire village sits amongst typical East Anglian farmland and is best known for housing the American Cemetery and Memorial, the only WWII American military cemetery in Britain, containing 3,812 graves of servicemen who died in the European theatre.
