Lyons is a small Durham community between Sunderland and Durham city, easily reached via the A690 and nearby A19. The area has good EV charging infrastructure with over 250 fast chargers regionally. Historic pithead baths at nearby Elemore Vale still stand with their original railings, marking the area's coal mining heritage.
