Lowersound forms part of greater Lerwick on Shetland's main island, connected by the A970 which links all the major settlements. Most journeys are short local trips to Lerwick town centre or nearby communities, though the road continues south to Sumburgh Airport 40km away. With around 20 fast chargers in the area, it's well-equipped for electric vehicles. The Lerwick Fire Station operates one of Shetland's most dependable 24-hour charging points.
