Scotland
Lower Bayble lies on Lewis's eastern shore, reached via the A866 from Stornoway about six miles away. Most visitors drive from Stornoway Airport, roughly eight miles southwest, following the A857 then A866. The village sits amongst traditional crofting settlements including Bayble and Upper Bayble, with moorland stretching toward coastal views of the Minch. Lower Bayble contains well-preserved blackhouse ruins, traditional stone cottages where families and livestock once shared thatched roofs.
