Low Ash

Low Ash occupies elevated ground between Bradford and Leeds in West Yorkshire's former textile heartland. The A6038 provides local connections, whilst the nearby M606 links to the trans-Pennine M62 for longer journeys. Leeds Bradford Airport sits 8km northeast. Most traffic comprises short hops to Bradford, Shipley and Idle, though the A658 offers a pleasant route toward Harrogate and the Dales. The settlement's name recalls the ash trees that once covered these hills before Victorian mill owners felled them for fuel.
