Lovacott Green lies in North Devon's countryside amongst the rolling farmland typical of this part of England. The A361 provides the main access route from Barnstaple, about 8km northeast, whilst local lanes connect to nearby Bideford and the scattered hamlets of Lower and Higher Lovacott. Royal Marines Base Chivenor sits just northwest of the village. The village green features a magnificent 300-year-old oak tree with a trunk so wide it takes four people holding hands to encircle it.
