Lotts

Lotts is a tiny coastal settlement in Sutherland's far north, reached via the A99 and B873 through dramatic Highland scenery. The 130km drive from Inverness passes Dornoch and Golspie before the final coastal stretch to this cluster of crofting communities. The village name derives from Gaelic "lots," referring to historical land divisions among local families.
