Longthorpe forms part of western Peterborough, easily reached via the A47 from Junction 17 of the A1(M). The area developed during post-war expansion but retains its own character whilst remaining just 3km from the city centre. Longthorpe Tower houses remarkable 14th-century wall paintings, amongst England's finest surviving examples of medieval domestic art.
