Longburgh

Longburgh occupies flat farmland near the Scottish border in northwestern Cumbria, reached via the A689 from Carlisle or A596 from the coast. Most journeys are local agricultural and commuter trips, though the area connects to the M6 system through Carlisle for longer distances. The city sits just two kilometres from Burgh by Sands, where Edward I died in 1307 whilst campaigning against the Scots.
