Long Stratton lies on the A140 between Norwich and Ipswich, about 15 miles south of Norwich city centre. The town serves as a stopping point along this busy north-south route connecting East Anglia's main centres. Local traffic from surrounding villages converges here for Norwich commutes, whilst the A140 links to the A11 for London access. The Saturday market, running since 1602, remains the town's focal point.
