Lochyside is a Highland community on Loch Linnhe's shores, 5km south of Fort William via the A82. This scenic trunk road connects Glasgow to the northwest Highlands, whilst local routes serve Caol, Banavie and the Corran Ferry. The settlement benefits from the loch's shelter and offers dramatic mountain views across the water. The adjacent Caledonian Canal features Neptune's Staircase, eight consecutive locks raising boats 64 feet.
