Llanfaredd is a small mid-Wales village on the A470, just north of Builth Wells in the Wye Valley. The main trunk road provides easy access from Cardiff or north Wales, whilst local routes connect nearby market towns like Rhayader. The 13th-century church of St. Maelog houses a remarkably preserved medieval rood screen.
