Llanbethêry is a small Vale of Glamorgan village near Cardiff Airport, reached via the A4226 from M4 Junction 33. The B4265 serves local traffic from Llancarfan, whilst the airport proximity means frequent overhead aircraft. Despite being just 8km from Wales' main international airport, the village retains its rural character with traditional field boundaries still visible beneath the flight path.
