Littlester lies amongst a tight cluster of Shetland communities, all within a kilometre of each other - unusual for the typically scattered islands. Local roads link to Houlland, Burravoe and Brough, with longer routes to Ulsta (6km) and other settlements. The area has roughly 3 public fast EV chargers and sits near Whalsay Airstrip. Four neighbouring communities within walking distance make this one of Shetland's most densely settled pockets.
