Limehouse occupies a Thames-side spot in Tower Hamlets where the river bends sharply eastward. Once London's shipbuilding heart, it's now a mix of converted warehouses and modern flats. Reach it via the A1203 Commercial Road from town or the A13 from Essex, with the Limehouse Link tunnel providing direct access to Canary Wharf. The area sits within the congestion charge zone, and parking requires permits or paid bays. The Limehouse Cut, Britain's oldest canal from 1770, still runs through the neighbourhood carrying narrowboats.
