Leverburgh occupies the southern tip of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, serving as the ferry terminal for services to North Uist and Berneray. The A859 provides the only road connection north to Tarbert and Stornoway, whilst local routes serve nearby settlements including Rodel and Northton. Approximately 7 public fast chargers support electric vehicles making the long island journey. The village retains Lord Leverhulme's 1920s concrete pier, a monument to his failed attempt to create a major fishing port.
