Leith forms Edinburgh's port district on the Firth of Forth, just two miles from the city centre via Leith Walk (A901). Long-distance visitors typically arrive on the A1 or A90, connecting through Edinburgh's bypass. The former docklands now house restaurants, government offices, and the Royal Yacht Britannia. The Saturday farmers market at Dock Place has run since 1999.
