Leeming Bar sits at the junction of the A1 and A684 in North Yorkshire, making it a handy stopping point for journeys to Scotland or the Dales. The village developed around what was once a toll bar on the old Great North Road, and today serves long-distance travellers and those heading west to Bedale and the Yorkshire Dales National Park via the A684.
