Leebitten is a small Shetland settlement near Sumburgh Airport, reached via the A970 from Lerwick 25km north. The village sits amongst scattered crofting communities on the southern mainland, with frequent local traffic between neighbouring settlements like Sandwick and Cunningsburgh. About a dozen EV charging points serve the area. The nearby Jarlshof archaeological site contains Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Viking remains on the same coastal headland.
