Laymore lies in West Dorset's countryside near the Somerset border, surrounded by rolling hills and traditional farmland. The A30 provides the main route through the area, with local connections to Holway and Greenham just 2km away. The A358 heads north toward the M5, whilst southern routes lead to Bridport and the coast. The town's Victorian red-brick water tower remains a prominent landmark visible from the approach roads.
