Langsett perches on Peak District moorland just off the A616, twelve miles northwest of Sheffield via Stocksbridge. The A628 Woodhead Pass and A57 Snake Pass provide scenic but weather-dependent routes from Manchester. With over 100 EV charging points nearby and excellent walking access, it's popular with day-trippers. The village sits beside Langsett Reservoir, completed in 1904 to supply Sheffield's water.
