Langar is a small Nottinghamshire village in the Vale of Belvoir, near the Leicestershire border. The A52 provides the main connection to Nottingham, about 15km northwest, whilst the A606 links southward to Melton Mowbray. Nottingham City Airport sits roughly 8km northeast. The village is notable for Langar Hall, birthplace of Admiral Lord Howe.
