Laneast is a small Cornish village on the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor, about 10 kilometres north of Launceston via the B3254. The A30 provides the main connection to the area, with local roads leading through typical moorland countryside of stone walls and scattered farms. The medieval Church of St. Michael and St. Sidwell contains remarkable 15th-century carved bench ends.
