Lanark perches above the Clyde Valley in South Lanarkshire, roughly 50km from both Glasgow and Edinburgh via the A73 and M74. The historic market town serves as a gateway to New Lanark's mills and the Falls of Clyde, with decent EV charging infrastructure for longer journeys. Its Monday livestock market has operated continuously since 1206, making it one of Scotland's oldest trading traditions.
