Lamplands forms part of Batley in West Yorkshire, easily reached via Junction 27 of the M62 between Leeds and Huddersfield. The A638 and A652 provide local connections to surrounding towns, whilst the M62 handles longer journeys to Manchester or the M1. Most routes are short commuter runs under 20km to Leeds, Bradford, or Huddersfield. Over 350 EV charging points serve the area, and Leeds Bradford Airport is 25km northeast. Former textile mills converted to flats still overlook the Calder Valley.
