Lacock is a preserved medieval village in Wiltshire, reached via Junction 17 of the M4 then the A350 through Chippenham. The National Trust owns most of the village, which famously appeared as Hogwarts in early Harry Potter films. Its 13th-century abbey cloisters remain remarkably intact, and the entire village center is closed to through traffic to maintain its historic atmosphere.
