Knockytoul is a small Galloway community reached via the A714 and local roads branching from the A77 coastal route. The surrounding countryside features gentle hills and traditional stone-walled lanes, with Barrhill 5km away and the Galloway Forest Park accessible to the east. About 7 EV charging points serve the wider area. The local road network still follows stone boundaries laid down over two centuries ago.
