Knapwell is a small Cambridgeshire village about 15km west of Cambridge, reached via the A428 and minor roads through rolling countryside. The A14 provides longer-distance connections, whilst local routes serve nearby Elsworth, Boxworth and Cambourne. Cambridge City Airport lies 10km northeast. The 13th-century church of St. Nicholas houses a remarkable medieval brass depicting an armoured knight.
