Kirkcudbright sits where the River Dee meets the Solway Firth in Dumfries and Galloway. The A711 provides the main access from Castle Douglas and Dumfries, whilst the A755 runs along the coast from Gatehouse of Fleet. The town features around 10 EV charging points and remains famous for its artists' colony heritage, with the harbour still hosting the traditional October Tattie Holidays when fishing boats returned from the herring season.
